Dry shampoo, gel and lint show as grey specks, and hard-water minerals leave a flat, ashy film; a clarifying wash every few washes clears both. Strong sun can warm 1B toward reddish brown over time, so store it covered and away from windows. Lukewarm water is fine for this shade. Finish with a drop of serum on the lengths only, never on the lace, where oil loosens knots and adhesive.
