Blue Wig
The color
Blue is a fashion color for statement looks. It is made on lightened hair, so the tone is vivid.
Who it flatters
Blue is a cool color, so it flatters cool and neutral undertones most, and it looks striking on both very fair and deep skin, where the contrast is strongest. On deep skin a deep blue looks rich and jewel-like. On warm, golden or olive skin, blue can make the complexion look sallow; add warmth back with bronzer and a peachy blush. A vivid color needs an anchor near the face: defined dark brows make blue look chosen rather than costume. A berry or plum lip keeps the palette cool.
How to style it
On straight hair, deep blue looks almost navy through the lengths and flashes brighter where light hits the shine band. Body wave breaks the color into highlights and shadows, so it looks more dimensional. Deep wave shows the most contrast between the bright tops of the waves and the darker blue inside them. A sleek middle part or a high, slicked ponytail keeps the look sharp. Silver jewelry, white, black and denim sit well with blue; warm orange and mustard tones fight it.
Care tips
Fashion colors fade faster: wash less often and in cool water.
Keep the blue vivid by washing less and colder: every hot wash opens the cuticle and lets pigment out, which is how the color drifts toward teal. Use a shampoo without sulfates and mix a little blue depositing conditioner into your regular conditioner every few washes. Before swimming, wet the hair with fresh water and add conditioner so it absorbs less chlorine or salt. Store the wig away from windows, and keep heat tools low, since heat fades blue too.
Dyeing and toning
A blue depositing conditioner or a semi-permanent blue refreshes faded color and can deepen it to navy or midnight blue. Adding a red-violet dye over it shifts it toward a deep purple. Going lighter is where blue gets stubborn: the pigment stains lightened hair, so lifting it toward blonde or pastel usually leaves a green or teal cast, and a clean light natural shade may not be reachable. Before a custom shade, send us a target photo and we confirm whether this blue can get there.

Questions about these wigs
What shade of blue is your blue wig?
A deep, saturated blue in our color preview photos: close to navy indoors and a brighter royal blue in daylight, darker than the icy or baby blue of costume wigs. The preview images are digital and each dye batch varies slightly, so before shipping we send real photos or a video of your exact wig.
How is a blue human hair wig made?
It starts as human hair that is lightened to a pale base and then dyed blue. Lightening opens the hair so the blue can take evenly and look vivid; that is also why a blue wig needs gentler care than natural black, with cooler water and lower heat. Because it is real hair, it can be heat-styled and re-colored with regular hair dye later; synthetic fiber does not take hair dye.
Why does a blue wig turn green?
Because the blue fades and the yellow underneath shows through. Lightened hair keeps a pale yellow tone, and as the blue pigment washes out, the thinner blue over that yellow reads as green or teal. Hot water, chlorine, salt water and sun speed it up. A blue depositing conditioner puts pigment back, and cool-water washes slow the shift.
Can you make a light blue wig?
Yes, to order. Light, icy or baby blue needs a very pale base, so it would be made on hair lightened to blonde rather than on this deep blue; blue pigment cannot be lifted out cleanly enough to go lighter. Ask us before you order with a reference photo, and we confirm the shade, cost and extra time. Pale blues fade faster than deep ones.
What lengths and textures does the blue wig come in?
Straight, body wave and deep wave, from 12 to 32 inches (30 to 81 cm), all as lace front wigs with 13x4 transparent lace. Longer lengths show more of the color and more of the shift from deep navy to bright blue as the hair moves, but they also weigh more; every wig page shows the weight for each length.
Can you dye a blue wig black?
Yes. Black covers blue easily in one application and gives an even, dark result; a blue-black leaves a hint of the old color in sunlight if you want to keep some. Do a strand test first, since very porous ends can grab extra pigment. Going back to a light shade afterwards is not realistic, so treat black as a final change.
How do you dye a wig blue?
Start from a light base: blue shows true only on hair lightened to pale blonde, such as a 613 wig. Apply a semi-permanent blue to clean hair in sections, keep it off the lace, follow the timing on the label, then rinse in cold water until it runs almost clear. Darker hair needs lightening first, which is best left to a colorist.
