Purple Wig
The color
Purple is a bold fashion color with violet tones. It reads deep indoors and vivid in daylight.
Who it flatters
Violet mixes red and blue, so it works with both cool and warm undertones more easily than most fashion colors. On deep brown and olive skin it looks rich and luminous, and on fair skin it gives a gentle contrast. The one to watch is sallow skin with a yellow cast: purple, the opposite of yellow, can make it more obvious, so keep purple away from the cheeks with a side part and add a rosy blush. Dark brown or soft black brows frame it well; a plum or mauve lip ties it together.
How to style it
Each texture shows purple differently: straight gives one even violet with a glassy shine; body wave adds lavender flashes wherever light hits the waves; deep wave packs the color into dense, rich volume. Sleek straight purple looks sharp and glossy, while loose waves look softer and more romantic. Gold jewelry makes violet look regal, black clothes make it intense, and mustard or emerald make a bold pairing; lilac and grey outfits give a tonal look.
Care tips
Cool rinses and a color-safe shampoo slow fading.
Purple needs a purple depositing conditioner, not only purple shampoo: toning shampoo is made to cancel yellow in blonde and is too weak to keep a vivid violet. Work the conditioner through every few washes. Avoid clarifying and anti-dandruff shampoos, which strip color fast, and wash in cool water. Keep the wig out of direct sun, since UV bleaches violet unevenly and leaves lavender streaks where the hair was most exposed.
Dyeing and toning
Purple deepens easily: a semi-permanent takes it to plum, eggplant or violet-black, and any brown or black covers it in one step. Blue over it shifts it toward indigo; red or pink shifts it toward magenta. Going lighter is the hard part, because purple fades unevenly and often leaves blue or pink patches, so a clean pastel lilac may not be reachable from this shade. If you want a lighter or two-tone purple, ask us before ordering and we quote the custom color.

Questions about these wigs
What shade of purple is your purple wig?
A medium violet purple in our color preview photos: lighter than eggplant or plum, softer than neon purple, with lavender shine where light hits it, clearly purple rather than blue or pink. The preview images are digital and each dye batch varies slightly, so before shipping we send real photos or a video of your exact wig.
Is your purple wig human hair?
Yes: 100% human hair, lightened and then dyed violet. That matters in two ways: it can be heat-styled at low settings and re-dyed later, which synthetic purple wigs cannot, and it moves and shines like real hair instead of the plastic sheen of a costume wig. With cool-water care it can last about one to two years.
Do you have a dark purple wig?
Not as a standard color, but it is an easy custom order. Our purple is a medium violet, and going darker is the simplest change in hair color: we can deepen it to plum, eggplant or violet-black before shipping. Tell us how dark you want it, ideally with a reference photo, and we quote it before you pay.
Can I get a black and purple wig?
Yes, as a custom color. Common versions are a black root melting into purple lengths, purple with a black underlayer that peeks out when you move, or black with purple ends. A black root is the most natural-looking with dark brows. Tell us which version and where the purple should start, and we quote it before you pay.
Do you have long purple wigs?
Yes: purple comes in lace front wigs from 12 to 32 inches (30 to 81 cm), in straight, body wave and deep wave, with 13x4 transparent lace. There is no purple bob, so the shortest option is 12 or 14 inches, which falls between the chin and the shoulders. Longer lengths show the most lavender shine, and every wig page lists the weight per length.
Can I order a lilac or lavender wig?
Yes, as a custom order. Lilac and lavender are pale purples that need pre-lightened blonde hair; they cannot be reached from this violet by fading it, because it lifts unevenly into blue or pink. Share a reference photo before you order and we confirm the shade we can match and its cost. Pale purples fade quickly, so keep a lilac depositing conditioner for regular top-ups.
What is the difference between a purple wig and a burgundy wig?
Burgundy is a darker, warmer red-violet that reads as deep wine with a violet cast; purple leans bluer and reads clearly as a fashion color. Choose burgundy if you want color that looks like a deep red at the office, and purple if the color itself is the statement. Both are lightened and dyed human hair, so both fade faster than natural shades.
