Detangle gently while damp with conditioner, working from the ends, so the pattern keeps its shape.
Pink fades unevenly: the top layer, which gets the most light, pales first while the underside stays bright, so store the wig away from windows and wear a hat for long days outdoors. Wash less often and in cold water, stretching time between washes with dry shampoo at the roots. Every few washes, work a pink depositing conditioner through the lengths, so the tone holds instead of drifting toward peach. Red-based dye can bleed in early washes, so use a dark towel.
